Stampin’ Up! June 2019 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

June 2019 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

The Stampin’ Up! June 2019 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives were easy to make this month.
Stampin’ Up! included so many elements to work with that were perfect for a summer time kit! I even added a 3-D project in for a couple of gifts for some special friends.

The Paper Pumpkin kit is great for quick and on the go crafting. Use them as inspiration and create your own designs. Each month I take the kit and use it as a jumping off point to create unique alternative cards and projects. I focus on using primarily the items included in the kit with some minimal additional supplies. My goal is to inspire you in making your own alternative projects. Use the kit using the included project guide, follow my alternative projects or come up with your own unique projects. Paper Pumpkin never fails to provide a fun surprise every month.

How I used June My 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit

For the Stampin’ Up! June 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit I added some card stock Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake and Old Olive. I love that Stampin’ Up! always gives us the coordinating colors to make it easy. I decided that Calypso Coral was a fitting color to bring in with this kit. This was incorporated on the card with the chair. The Coastal Cabana ink cube was included in the kit but I also brought out my Old Olive,Crumb Cake and Calypso Coral inks.

There were many vellum pieces included and I chose to sponge those to make them stand out better on the cards. Have fun adding different colors. Use your Stampin’ Write Markers on the back side of the vellum for an even deeper color. The vellum coral pieces are easier to sponge those before taking them apart from the die cut piece.

While I mostly used the items from the kit, I couldn’t pass up pulling out my Seasonal Layers Dies and adding the Adirondack chair sitting on the beach. I used Calypso Coral ink to sponge one of the vellum pieces for a setting sun look. Who else wants to be sitting on that beach right now?

I have a video tutorial explaining how I created these cards and the project.

Michele

I grew up in the big city but moved to beautiful Helena, MT back in 1993 where I fell in love with Big Sky Country. I have two amazing adult children for whom I thank God daily. During the day I am blessed to work at a local Christian School. On my off-time I enjoy all things stamping and paper crafting! You can always tell when I've been creating...inky fingers are happy fingers!

My journey to sharing my projects online began when I needed to raise extra funds for a missions trip and a friend encouraged me to teach a card class. I found out I loved teaching and sharing my passion with others. Blogging, YouTube and other social media allows me to share inspiration outside my local community. It is so great to connect with people from all over the world with our common love of paper crafting!

You can find inspiration and tutorials here on my blog and my YouTube channel. I hope you'll get out your paper, stamp and ink and create with me!
