This is the third video in my Craft Fair Idea Series for 2019 showcasing Notepad Wallets using notepads from the Dollar Tree. This project uses the left over pad and paper from project #2. These are using the left over pads from the five stack purchased at the Dollar Tree. I will link the previous video below in case you missed that. While you can get one of the wallets out of the leftover Designer Series Paper from the previous project, you will need more paper to complete the second wallet with the last pad left. I just saved the extra pads and then matched them up with DSP at the end. You can get two of these wallets out of one sheet of 12×12 paper.
I chose to use an elastic closure as for me that is a quick and easy way to access the paper vs. a belly band. You could also use a velcro or magnetic closure if you choose. These are great for gifts and you could really personalize them with paper or an image or sentiment on the front to fit the recipient. I think adding that piece of scrap for a pocket is a great way to use up those scraps and gives the person a place to store a receipt, business cards or note.
I think the tassel makes a nice added touch. Sometimes it is just those little things that can make a project more special. You could try adding some beads or charms as well. Take the concept and make it unique to you!
