Make Embellishments to Match ANY Card Stock

Sometimes you just can’t find an embellishment to match your project. I have a tip for how to create embellishments to match any of your card stock.

This project uses the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and the Free as A Bird Bundle. This bundles includes this set of beautiful Stitched Nested Label Dies. These dies have that detailed edging that makes them stand apart. The shape is great for masculine or feminine cards. With eight different sizes that nest inside each other you will always find a perfect matting piece as well. There is also a straight die with stitching that works well for adding detail stitching to the border of cards.

The sketch I used with this project is one of my go to designs for quick cards. Switch out the papers and sentiments, use a ribbon instead of the card stock strip and use a different shape for the sentiment for a completely different look.

I have a video tutorial with details on how I created this card and made embellishments to match any card stock along with the dimensions. A list of products used is provided below.

Michele

I grew up in the big city but moved to beautiful Helena, MT back in 1993 where I fell in love with Big Sky Country. I have two amazing adult children for whom I thank God daily. During the day I am blessed to work at a local Christian School. On my off-time I enjoy all things stamping and paper crafting! You can always tell when I've been creating...inky fingers are happy fingers!

My journey to sharing my projects online began when I needed to raise extra funds for a missions trip and a friend encouraged me to teach a card class. I found out I loved teaching and sharing my passion with others. Blogging, YouTube and other social media allows me to share inspiration outside my local community. It is so great to connect with people from all over the world with our common love of paper crafting!

You can find inspiration and tutorials here on my blog and my YouTube channel. I hope you'll get out your paper, stamp and ink and create with me!
